Roundtable: Scaling up Renewables in Southern California

Registration is free and available for ACCO members and by invitation only to non-members.  Contact Daniel Kreeger (dkreeger@ACCOonline.org) for more information about this roundtable.

As public and private sector organizations in Southern California work toward scaling up renewable energy procurement and consumption, ACCO is convening thought leaders to explore related institutional challenges and opportunities. Our objective is to develop resources and training to advance capabilities in the region.

The roundtable, along with subsequent workshops to be produced by ACCO in 2017 and 2018, will help public and private sector electricity consumers advance renewable energy strategies by overcoming common barriers and taking advantage of key opportunities and more advanced approaches. Even the most seasoned practitioners will benefit from important knowledge exchange and discussions.

Program Highlights

  • Hear insights and policy directives from Los Angeles County and the Los Angeles Department of Water & Power
  • Engage with peer corporate, municipal and higher education leaders in the region to learn from their experiences and explore opportunities for aggregating demand
  • Provide input that will help to shape a Fall 2017 and subsequent workshops/curriculum critical to advancing workforce competencies in scaling up renewable energy procurement and consumption
