ACCO has established a suite of credentials bestowing recognition of capabilities in leading and implementing climate change strategies. Our credentials serve the climate leader in an organization, a mid-level practitioner aspiring to be a climate change officer, or a professional working in another occupation.  ACCO credentials fall into three categories:

  1. Certified Climate Change Professional® (CC-P®)

  2. Certified Climate Change Officer® (CC-O®)

  3. Credentials for Other Occupations

Certified Climate Change Professional®
(CC-P
®)

The Certified Climate Change Professional® (CC-P®) is the credential for mid-level practitioners reflecting your dedication to professional development and your competency in the fundamentals of climate change preparedness and strategic planning.  A combination of related work experience and completion of all core curriculum courses and elective requirements is required for this designation.

The Certified Climate Change Professional® (CC-P®) credential is currently available for practitioners across all sectors and professional functions, and is also a mandatory stepping stone for the CC-O®.

Certified Climate Change® Credential for Other Occupations (coming soon)

ACCO has been developing credentials for mid-level practitioners in fields such as energy and supply chain management, architecture and civil engineering.  We aim to unveil those credentials in 2017-2018 in collaboration with corresponding peer professional associations.  The first of these credentials to be established will formally be identified as:

  • Certified Climate Change Professional in Supply Chain & Procurement® (CC-PSP®)
  • Certified Climate Change Professional in Energy Management® (CC-EM®)
  • Certified Climate Change Professional in Planning & Civil Engineering® (CC-PCE®)

Earning the CC-P® will satisfy many, but not all, of the requirements for credentials in this category.  Details will be published here in Spring/Summer 2017.

Certified Climate Change Officer®
(CC-O®)
 (coming soon)

The Certified Climate Change Officer® (CC-O®) is the master-level credential underscoring one's ability to oversee enterprise climate strategies and drive related action within an organization. A combination of extensive related work experience and completion of all core curriculum courses and elective requirements is required for this designation.

Conferring of the CC-O® credential will not be available until Fall 2017.  Earning the CC-P® will be a required stepping stone for satisfying CC-O® requirements, which will be published shortly.
