ACCO is responsible for administering the Compact through staffing working groups, accounting for logistics, fundraising, identifying third-party services and training activities.  As such, ACCO plans to establish a series of partnerships to broaden participation in the Compact and to ensure that Compact members receive expert support in key areas.

This Request for Information (“RFI”) is aimed at identifying organizations either based in, or focused heavily upon, Colorado that can provide support and/or capabilities aligned with the needs and interests of the Compact’s signatories. 

Key Subject Matter Areas

  • Key areas of focus that are being addressed by ACCO and the Compact include:
  • Aligning climate action with economic development;
  • Advancing statewide preparedness and resilience through local government planning and coordination;
  • Scaling up clean energy development and consumption;
  • Engaging the public to build better understanding and support;
  • Developing greenhouse gas reduction goals and implementation strategies; and
  • Providing support to member communities in taking action locally.

General Requirements for this RFI

All organizations interested in submitting a response to this RFI must meet the following qualifications:

  • A non-profit organization whose mission aligns with the stated mission and vision is not deemed to be in conflict with the mission and vision statements of the Compact and ACCO;
  • A professional services firm with technical expertise in at least one of the areas identified above that is willing to provide pro bono services in that same qualifying area (minimum of 50 hours per year); or
  • A higher-education institution able to provide research support or technical expertise in at least one of the key areas identified above (minimum of 50 hours per year).

Submission of the RFI

  • Deadline: All responses must be submitted electronically by 11:59pm eastern on April 21, 2017
  • Submission: Online submission form at https://accoonline.org/colorado-rfi
  • RFI Contents: All responses should include answers to the following questions and identification of key points of contact.  The responses should be limited by the stated word count parameters.

Additional Guidelines

Proposed capabilities and services must include at least one meaningful contribution at no cost to the Compact.  In addition to this contribution, you may also include related capabilities and services that will require funding support for delivery or implementation.

  • For non-profit organizations & higher-education institutions: Areas of contributions may include usage of facilities for events, staffing support, research and synthesis, training and access to electronic tools/resources.
  • For professional service firms: Areas of contributions may include technical support provided to Compact committees and working groups, related research and synthesis, and training.  Contributions should be measured by volume of hours per year.
